Écotech Québec, in partnership with the Government of Canada and the European Commission, invites clean technology companies to participate in the Canada-EU Workshop, to discover the benefits of the CETA and to meet potential European and canadian partners, on November 6-7 in Montreal.
Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA): Discover the benefits for cleantech companies.
CETA can play an important role in fostering a favourable business environment for increased trade in clean technology goods and services.
The EU is the world’s third-largest importer clean-tech products, with imports totaling $148 billion in 2016.
CETA eliminates EU tariffs on Canadian clean-tech products.
Canadian clean-tech service providers are on equal footing with their EU competitors and will receive better treatment than most of their non-EU competitors.
Canadian clean-tech companies also benefit from improved labour mobility provisions, expanded access to EU government procurement opportunities, and the eligibility to test products for European conformity in Canadian facilities.
